| A small, windowless bathroom in a
warm loft style apartment. Our brief was to create
a more open contemporary space with a real sense
of warmth and tranquillity reminiscent of the client’s
northern Californian roots.
By using waterproof marine teak timber as a material
for the bespoke bath and sink enclosure we were
able to create a waterfall visual and sound effect
this was achieved by filling the bathtub from
the cantilevering sink unit using a timber slot
which was built in to the unit. Adding built in
storage, recessed lighting and a full height window
above the sink unit, the small space really opened
up and the much needed natural light and ventilation
and extra circulation was apparent. The pebble
floor that we matched to a Californian pebble
set the setting for this Californian waterfall
experience.
